Description
A 5'6" human girl, normally, with short black hair, fair skin, and violet eyes. Her ears show just the slightest hint of a point, her canines perhaps a bit unnervingly sharp. She has a series of what look to be scars across her back, mimicking the stripes of her thylacine form. She has an atheltic build in either form, though her posture is notoriously bad. She generally wears a red hoodie as a human. As a thylacine, she stands a few inches taller, with tan fur, a lighter belly, and dark brown stripes accenting her back and her tail, much like a kangaroo's, but much thinner. She has a pouch, being a marsupial, and sometimes nervously fidgets with the lip of it. The tips of her ears and tail, as well as her fingers and toes are the same color as the stripes on her body, and her nose, claws, and pawpads are all black. At all times she wears a black leather choker with a dangling obsidian pendant, a sign of her apprenticeship under Ashana.
Background
A fairly innocent college freshman theater student from a world without anthros or anything of the like. At least, that's what she used to be. She had been a redhead, for one, living on Earth in the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. Anthropomorphic animals were only the thing of cartoons and strange gatherings of internet-obsessed people called "furries," something that she had never even heard of. She was a bit of a late bloomer, never really standing out here or there, but slowly working her way up in high school to being a respected member of the theater community, and even got a few good roles in her junior and senior years. Moving to college, she found herself to be a small fish in a big pond, and went right back into the technical side of things, going on into learning lighting design under the master electrician in the department. One night in her second semester, though, she experienced the strangest, most pivotal dream of her life.
In this dream, she was wandering through a maze attached to her closet, strange as that might be, when she came upon a mirror. This mirror, oddly enough, had her and the room reflected in it, though as a reflection of a reflection, or rather, a 180 degree rotation, but that wasn't the strangest part; this "reflection" wasn't moving in sync with her... and when it ran off on one path, towards the closet entrance for its world, she ran after it, through the other exit of the mirror room, and after winding through that maze, she found herself in a vast room, and then falling. She woke up in a different era on a different planet in a different thread of existence.
Oddly enough, back in her own time, her own reality, she woke up with a slight headache and continued on her life, eventually growing old and passing of natural causes, a grandmother. This is not, however, that girls' story. This is the girl who went the other way... and who fell into a strange world with strange people of few morals and astounding technologies. Having wandered into a strange place with only the clothes on her body to her name, she was lucky to receive the kindness that she did.
A wolf couple took her in and tried to get her acquainted with the world around there. Kado Celeritus and Samantha Love, those were their names, but Samantha was mostly her guardian for the first few weeks. She was the only human in that sector, and felt extraordinarily alone, and so Sam did her best to fix this problem by putting a genetic integration collar around her neck and introducing some lupine genetics. The resulting depression determined that in fact the girl was not cut out to be a wolf, though with future steps, her form was finally settled out to be a thylacine, though whether this would truly fit the old self is yet to be seen.
Unhappy and confused, she was turned back into her old self, the collar removed, but a funny thing had happened. Samantha was in part a lycanthrope, and the mutable condition had merged with that introduced species into the girl... not wolf, but thylacine, and shortly after turning back, she found herself changing again, without the aid of a collar. With that change, everything about her changed... and her mind grew to accept it, probably by virtue of the lycanthropy.
With time she's grown to accept this change, feeling incomplete without it. It truly is who she is now, and she wouldn't have it any other way. Other than that, in a much more flexible social setup she's learned the warmth of other women... and realized she wasn't really that much into guys in the first place. Since then she has found work as an apprentice to a half-nightmare, half-dragon named Ashana, studying the arcane and how to forge deals with various things that go bump in the night. Aside from that, she's become rather good friends with a dragoness named Terri, who has been teaching her how to ride a motorcycle.
Personality
The girl is a very naive one, still idealizing many things that in time she will no doubt become just as jaded about as everyone in their right mind. She's shy, easily embarrassed, and always second-guessing herself.
Interests
Motorcycles, Theatrical Lighting, Stagecraft, Construction, Acoustics, Music, Dance, and creepy crawly things.
